Meet Mrs. Cherry
Supportive Reading Instruction
With over 25 years of experience in education, I specialize in helping K–5 students become confident, capable readers. I hold a Master’s degree in Education, am a Certified Reading Teacher, and have experience supporting both beginning and struggling readers.
In addition to working directly with students, I have served as an instructional coach, mentoring and supporting teachers in implementing effective literacy instruction and research-based teaching practices.
My instruction is personalized, supportive, and grounded in research-based strategies that build strong foundational skills while growing confidence and a love of reading. My students’ reading scores have ranked among the Top 20 statewide, and I’ve been honored with recognition including Teacher of the Year.
Whether your child needs targeted support or continued enrichment, I’m passionate about helping students make meaningful, lasting progress. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and continuing to explore new ways to support young readers.

I am an approved provider with Step Up For Students in Florida. Eligible families may use their available scholarship funds for tutoring services, depending on their program and account setup.
